Beer Wars
Setup
Beer and the original star wars trilogy
Rules to drink by
First, determine how many players you have. This will determine how many star wars characters will be involved in the game. Once you have your players, write the appropriate number of main character names on pieces of folded paper and have everyone pick out of a hat. I suggest making sure that following characters are always involved:
Luke
Han
Chewie
Darth Vader
Obie Wan/Yoda <– count them as one
Leia
R2D2
C3PO
You can add characters as you see fit, but in the interest of fairness choose wisely. You don’t want someone stuck with Han while another
person has greito. You can double up on characters if there aren’t enough people playing and you want to make it really interesting. If there are characters left over use them or don’t as you like. Basically, everbody should have at least one major character.
Start watching A New Hope. Players drink once when their character is introduced and once each time their character’s name or a variation (chewie, old ben kenobi, etc) is used. When “droids” is said, r2 and c3po drink. When “Jedi” is said, obi wan/yoda, luke and vader drink. “The Force” is a social. You can add more rules like this if you like; just remember that there are plenty of drinks waiting for you with the rules as they stand.
The point? Make it as far as you can into the trilogy. The winner (or loser, depending on how you look at it) is the last man standing. The furthest I’ve gotten is the beginning of Jedi.
Oh yeah, and make sure to hold onto the car keys of whomever has C3PO during the trash compactor scene. They’re in for a rough one.
