Rules to drink by
2. You must drink with the hand that the pitcher who is currently on the mound throws with, i.e. a RHP means you are a right handed beer1 drinker. If Team B’s pitcher is left handed, you have to switch to your left hand when he is on the mound. Penalty for drinking with the wrong hand is 1/2 beer1.
3. If a batter/runner for Team A makes an out, you take a drink. (1 out for your team on offense = one drink)
4. If Team B scores a run, you take a shot (1 run for the other team = 1 shot for you)
5. If the batter for Team B gets a single, you take one drink, Double=2 drinks, Triple=3 drinks, Home Run=4 drinks.
6. If a player on Team A strikes out, besides taking a drink for making the out, take one extra drink for the strikeout. If the player watches Strike 3 go by without swinging (a backwards K), drink half of your beer1. So, your batter strikes out swinging=2 drinks, strikes out looking=half beer1.
7. If a player for Team B steals a base, you take one drink.
8. If Team A makes an error, you take 1 drink for every base that Team B advances because of the error. If multiple runners advance, add the amount of extra bases both received. This includes wild pitches and passed balls.
9. If Team A turns a double play, each person rooting for Team A gets to hand out a drink to the people rooting for Team B. Triple Play = shots handed out by defensive team.
10. If you miss a pitch on TV because you are in another room, you have to take one drink per pitch missed. If the TV returns from commercial break after pitches have been thrown, everyone must drink once for each pitch missed.
11. There are NO mid-half-inning bathroom breaks. You must wait until commercial breaks. The penalty is 1 shot if not back in time for the start of the next inning.
12. If a foul ball is hit out of play on the fly, everyone takes a drink. Foul balls that bounce in the field of play and then into the stands do not count.
13. If there is a broken bat or a bat thrown into the crowd, everyone takes 2 drinks.
14. If the bat boy or ball girl down the lines appears noticeably on the screen, everyone takes 1 drink.
15. Every time the camera is focused on either manager, everyone takes 1 drink.
17. “Pitcher’s Rule” – If the game is in a National League park, any offensive production from the opposing pitcher counts for double the drinks. So, if Team B’s pitcher gets a double, it’s 4 drinks instead of 2. If he scores a run, it’s 2 shots instead of one.
18. “Lucky Position Multiplier Rule” – The players shall randomly select a position before the game starts, i.e. left field or catcher, which will be known as “The Multiplier”. Every time “The Multiplier” accomplishes any feat worthy of a drink, the value of that drink shall be doubled, similar to the “Pitcher’s Rule” above. If the Catcher is the multiplier, anytime the catcher on your team gets out, it’s 2 drinks for you, if the catcher on your team hits a triple, it’s six drinks for your opposition.
