Setup

a pool table with cues and balls
2-6 people(or 4-12 if you want to play partners)
lots of beer

Rules to drink by

ramdomly pick a playing order and write it down so that there arent any arguments later.
the player that is shooting last on the list picks a pocket on the table and marks it with a tag of some sort(also to avoid fights later) then the next player up does the same untill everyone has a pocket tagged with their name.(if playing with less than six players or teams the other pockets remain un tagged)
player one will break the rack and play continues as a normal game of nine ball.
automatic 1 drink penalies are when a player:
1. hits any ball except the smallest ball on the table first
2. scratches, and balls made on a scrach must return to the table.
automatic 5 drink penalty is when a player:
1. misses all balls on the table
2. jumps any ball off the table
note-in team play automatic drink penalties are only for the shooter

when all the balls have been legally sunk the drinking begins!
pull all balls out of the pocket with your name tagged on it. add the value of the balls together and drink that many drinks from your beer(in teams you cut total in half and round up on odd numbers)

the player who legally sinks the nine ball passes out his total drinks how ever he feels, all to one player,or split them up.

if the nine ball is sunk b4 any amount of other balls everyone still drinks the total in their pocket, then one for each ball left on the table, once again the winner does not have to drink.
if the nine ball is sunk on the break all other players chug a full beer- but if the nine ball is sunk on the break and the shooter scraches he must chug 2 full beers
after a game is won start with the next player on the list so that everyone has a chance to play.
the winner of each round is entitled to trade pockets with whoever he choses, unless he doesnt want to.( this may come into play because as a general occuance side pocket seem to have less balls sunk in them, or the table may be slanted)
you can either play a race to a certain amout of wins, or have the winner sit out after each round and keep going until there is one player that hasnt won a game, and start over with one less player untill an ultimate winner is chosen.

if you feel up to the challange, play nine ball rules only with all 15 balls using the 15 ball in place of the nine ball this version makes for a good night cause there are lots of scratches in the early stages.
