Drunkball
Setup
table, two ping pong balls, two teams of two, lots of beer (cans)
Rules to drink by
Warning: this came requires at least 3 cases for evey 6 people. Get Excited as it will get ugly.
Defensive rules: This is where the gentlemenly aspect becomes key. The defensive team is not allowed to touch the ball. it is straight interferance. no swating or kicking, only blocking of the offense.
The Way O’ the Drunkball (by popular demand):
How to Play:
– two teams (will be referred to as teams A and B for clarity)
– two cans each, touching @ the middle of each end of the table top)
– one ball (teams alternate throws, so player 1 of team A throws then player 1 of team B, then player 2 of team A and so on)
– P1 of team A throws…if they hit the cans (in anyway, bounce is acceptable, intentional bouncing is bootleg), then team A (both players) crack their beers and drink until team B has recovered the ball.
– drinking stops when ball is put on table and team B has yelled “stop”.
– It is now team B’s turn to throw (regardless of team A hit or not)
– repeat until beers are gone
General Rules:
– MANDATORY CELEBRATION. (when beer is finished must pre-form…T-Owens style)
– do not open beer cans before they have been hit,
cracking is part of the game
– losing team must finish what remains of their beer, immediately after game is over. no nursing.
– if one person finishes beer before partner, either partner may finish the last beer.
– however, both teammates must continue to take turns throwing
– if ball ricochets into an unreachable place, defensive team must yell: “Crevice”. then offensive (drinking team) gets a two second free drink session (think of it as a ground rule double)
– defensive tactics are acceptable, if all playing agree. if not keep it gentlemanly.
** if a beer can gets knocked over, it is the responsibility of the defensive team to salvage as much beer as possible by picking the can up quickly. this is where the whole “gentlemanly” becomes super signifigant.
