Rules to drink by

Flip Coaster is best played in pubs as no materials are needed to bring in yourself. The game also doesn’t involve cards or necessary communication, so the noisy atmosphere all but eccentuates the intensity of this game.

Any number of players may set up. Any over 6 may crowd the table too much. Each player gets a drink and a coaster. The object is to place your drinks equally distant with coasters on top of your drinks. In a roundabout way, players will tap their coasters from any corner aiming at flipping onto another player’s coaster. If the player misses said coaster, he takes a sip of his own drink. If he hits the coaster, but it does not land, he does not have to drink. If it indeed lands on the opponent’s coaster, that opponent is knocked out and has to chug his drink. This goes on until only one is left standing. If player knocks over his own drink it’s a suicide and he is out of the game.

Glasses are preferred to plastic cups as there is a good deal of force the coaster exerts on the cup. A plastic cup could break depending on how hard the coaster is hit. But hey, if the bar is too stingy to give glasses, then you gotta make do.
