IGO (invite game only)
Setup
12 solo cups, ruit table, ping pong balls, beer, 2-3 good beruit players per team
Rules to drink by
Set up on each side: 2 lines of solo cups with half a beer in each cup, 3 in each line. One cup in each corner of the table, one centered between the corners at the table, and a cup in front of each of those about 6 inches away (so 6 cups in total on each side). All the cups should be about 6 inches apart from each other making 6 lone-wolf cups.
You can decide which team gets first shot in which ever way you want. Each player on each team has an opponent on the other team. Meaning if Craig and Mike were a team and Graham and Jon were a team, Craig would match up with Graham and Mike with Jon. If Craig’s team were to start, then Craig would shoot at a cup. If he makes it, Graham gets a chance at a rebuttal; but only at the matching cup at the other side of what was just made. If Graham makes the matching cup the turn is negated and the game continues like nothing happened and it’s Craig’s shot again. If Graham were to have missed his rebuttal, then the cup that Craig made is drunk by Graham and Craig gets the ball back. And the turn continues till both Craig and Mike have missed their shots then Graham and Jon get to shoot.
The catch to the game: Now that Craig and Mike have an extra cup on their side of the table and are winning, the only way for Graham and Jon to get that cup (the one that matches the cup Craig made) off the table is for them to both hit that cup (it can be on different turns). If you are playing with three players, all three players have to hit that cup till it is removed. So you benefit by making cups that their matching cup has not been hit because then your opponents have to hit the other cups more times. When a partner has made all the cups he can make (meaning he has done his part hitting all the catching up cups, he can take a seat and hope his partner finishes the game off).
When the last cup is hit (however many times it has to be hit) then the game is over. Trying to play this game with bad beruit players will make this game go on forever. Hence the name of the game, Invite Game Only. When you are playing with good players, the amount of rebuttals increases and a lot of competition is formed between opponents. The game should move really quickly when played correctly.
