Rules to drink by

Make a set of cards equal to the amount of people playing one card should be an ace and one should be a king the rest are all citizens (2-9 any suit works) (remember one person has to be the narrarator so if 8 people are playing you will need 7 cards in this set)

The narrarator will pass out a card to everyone playing – the person who recieves the ace is the doctor and the person who gets the king is the killer. Everyone keeps their identity a secret.

The narrarator instructs everyone to go to sleep. Everyone puts their heads down (no peeking or its just not fun) the narrarator instructs the killer to wake up at this time the person with the king may raise his head – then the narrarorator asks the killer who he wants to kill. At this time the killer may choose someone by pointing. Then the narrarator tells the killer to go to sleep. Then the narrarator tells the doctor to wake up and asks the doctor who he wants to save. *** If the doctor, picks the right person, noone dies. The doctor also may choose himself*** then the narrarator tells the doctor to go back to sleep.

At this time the narrarator instructs everyone to wake up, and explains to everyone what happened, for example “Well john was sleeping last night and the killer came in and stabbed him” (my friends and i make up funny stories) if the doctor got the right person then you explain the doctor saved his life. if the doctor got the wrong person then john is dead and out of the game – his input means nothing because hes dead.

At this time the remaining players all try to figure out who they think it is – take a few moments to discuss who it is and try to get reactions out of blaming people.

After a short time the narrarator casts a vote for who they think it is. the person who gets the most votes is then on trial.

While on trial everyone votes to hang, or set free the accused killer. Tie breakers go to the dead – double tiebreakers go to the accused person.

All the dead people then show their identity and the game is continued until the killer is the only one left or is killed.

Drinking:

If the townspeople hang the wrong person – everyone who voted takes a shot – if they get the killer the killer takes the amount of drinks for every survivor – (obviously you need to portion this if there is a lot of people playing – i dont think if 12 people were playing and you go the killer on the first try, the killer should take 11 drinks.)
