Setup

To play you need:
-1 table, could be round, a dinner table to card table usually works.
– 1 quarter
– 3-8 players

Each player needs:
– 1 Empty cup (12-16oz)
– A lot of cans of beers to drink (if you only have a keg, you can use a full cup of beer as a fill cup as a replacement for cans)

Rules to drink by

The game is pretty simple.

Whoever starts the game has the quarter. They open their first beer, pour some into their cup, and spin the quarter. They then attempt to drink the contents of their cup before the quarter stops spinning. How much they pour in the cup is entirely up to them, it could be a sip or it could be an entire beer, it’s whatever they wager they can drink in the time the quarter spins. If they fail to drink the cup before the quarter stops, they refil to any desired amount and try again. You keep trying until you have a successful spin.

After they spin, they pass the quarter clockwise and the next person goes.

MINES
– Once you drink an entire can of beer and it is empty, you can use it as a mine.
– When someone spins the quarter, take your empty can and slam their quarter while it’s still spinning. They will have to finish their drink, refill, and spin again.
– From that point on your empty can stays where you slammed the quarter and is an active mine for the rest of the game. If anybody spins the quarter and it touches the mine, they automatically have to drink again (this rule applies to whoever put the mine in play as well, if you hit ANY mine, even your own, you drink again)
– The ONLY way to put a mine in play is to slam a spinning quarter, you can’t just put it wherever you want, try to slam quarters that are on the other side of the table from you and out of your spinning area.
– You can slam whoever you want, whenever you want, as long as you have an empty can. You can even save up all your mines and slam a person over and over again.
– After 8 unsucessful spins, a person can chose to end their turn and pass the quarter along.
– The is absolutely no social drinking from your pouring can. It creates an unfair advantage and gets you mins faster. If you wish to drink socially (sip a beer while you play) you must use a different can.

You keep going and going until everyone is to wrecked to play anymore… I’ve seen 4 guys killed a 30-rack in under 45 minutes, it’s a solid game.

To recap, the spinner spins/drinks again IF:
– They don’t finish the beer in their cup before the quarter stops spinning.
– The quarter falls off the table
– The quarter is slammed by someone putting a mine in play.
– The quarter touches a mine (does not have to stop spinning)

I’m working out a point-system for the game, I’ll post it up once I get the kinks worked out. Enjoy.
