Rules to drink by

One friday morning, with a night of heavy drinking ahead of me, I was thinking of ways to make an interesting, yet harsh drinking game. This is when I thought up “Tabs”. It involves endurance and chugging speed (like Flipcup), shooting skill (like beer pong) and card-drawing chance (like Circle of Death). The amounts of beer consumed in this game is usually very high in a short amount of time, so the game may go quickly for those who cant handle more than 8 beers. Tabs may seem somewhat complex at first, but as you put two and two together you will find it much more simple.

So here’s how it goes, you start with 3+ people sitting at a (preferrably) round table, with an empty beer can with the Tab ripped off, and a deck of cards both in the middle of the table. For each round, each person must have a can of beer to chug, and another can aside them for sipping/chugging, we’ll call this can the “side can”.

Each player starts chugging a can of beer at the same time. When you are done chugging, you must rip the Tab off the beer can and shoot it into the empty beer can, your hand CANNOT come closer to the can than the edge of the table. The first person to make it in wins, the last 2+ people must drink 5 seconds from their side can. The last person to make it in is the loser, he has to take the deck and choose a card.

If the loser picks up a Numbered Card, he must drink for as many seconds as the number if the suit is black, and double the number if the suit is red. If he picks up a Jack, he must finish his side can. If he picks up a Queen, everyone, except for the winner, must finish their side can. If he picks up a King, he can make anyone he wants drink the rest of their side can. If he picks up an Ace, he’s not the loser any more and he passes the deck to the left, the receiver of the deck is now the loser and must choose a card.

**Variations: If you don’t want to consume as much beer, or you want the game to last longer, everyone at the table can pour half of their chugging can in their own clear plastic cup, and use that as their “side cup” and eliminate the doubled cards. If you want the game to go quicker, you can get rid the game of cards and just have the loser drink the whole side can/cup.
